After a super dominant 1992 season in Experienced Class and winning both dual line championships at that level on the American Kite Magazine National Circuit, I was voted by my peers as 1992 Rising Star (equivalent to “rookie of the year”) and invited to do an interview with the magazine to be published early the next year.
Just 17 years old at the time, it was very exciting for me and is still one of my fondest accomplishments many years later.
